Infra-PaX receives NWO VIDI funding
The Dutch Research Council has awarded a VIDI grant to Infra-PaX, a five-year research project on how infrastructure leaders navigate the twin transition.
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded a grant under its Talent Scheme, VIDI, to Infra-PaX — a five-year research project at TU Delft studying how infrastructure leaders navigate the paradoxes created by pursuing digitalisation and sustainability at the same time.
The full title is Infra-PaX: Navigating ParadoXes from simultaneous digitalisation and sustainability transitions in Infrastructure. It runs from 2026 to 2031 in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, and is delivered by Eleni Papadonikolaki together with two PhD candidates.
The research project works at two levels: how individual leaders recognise and respond to these tensions, and how the same tensions travel across the wider infrastructure ecosystem. A third strand brings the two together with the practitioners the findings are meant for.
VIDI grants support experienced researchers in developing their own line of research and building a research group.
